Phil NaessensCongregations Bailing Out of the Leaky Boat of the Presbyterian Church USA
Presbyterian congregations are abandoning ship from the Presbyterian Church USA as its leakage revolving around the trinity and the authority of the Bible are causing that ship to doctrinally sink into the abyss. “They have rejected the word of the Lord, so what wisdom do they have?”- Jeremiah 8:9. I personally witnessed a gathering of one Presbyterian Church USA where its Theologian in Training said that he could accept some of the teachings of the Jesus Seminar who the very next day came out with their rejection of His resurrection. By the way, no one, but this evangelist, objected at that session.
Pittsburg’s largest Presbyterian Church USA has abandoned ship and is about to join with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. The vote was 958 to 93 in favor of the move out of the Presbyterian USA bunch. How can that latter denomination ever honestly finish the last line of the hymn, Holy, Holy, Holy, anymore? It says, “Blessed Trinity”. The Signal Mount Presbyterian Church in eastern Tennessee also voted itself out of the Presbyterian Church USA by a vote of 1,082 to 10 and the Evangelical Presbyterian Chuch is waiting in the wings to bring on even more congregations, including those of the New Wineskin Presbyterians who have also abandoned the Presbyterian Church USA. It would seem that the latter also does not believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6).
I would tell those of the Presbyterian Church USA this- “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God”- 2 John 9. By the way, Presbyterian Church USA, the doctrine of Jesus did not come from Him, but instead from the Father (John 7:16).
I wonder if the leaky boat of the Presbyterian Church USA is planning on instituting a baptism of pouring soon?
